Kyoto Day 2 and 3

The Golden Pavilion or Kinkauji Temple. Its painted in real gold and cost 3 million to paint.

Love this sweet boy of mine

it was so beautiful

An old lantern

waiting for the bus

We had lunch at a sushi go around and Kade had fries and chicken nuggets

On the bus

More fall colors from our hike up to the top of monkey mountain

We went and fed/saw the monkeys at monkey park. It was the highlight of Kade's trip. Those monkey's are crazy and like their food.

Gorgeous view

Wishes or prayers i'm not sure which

soybean soft serve ice cream

Otagi Nenbutsuji Temple has got to be one of my favorite temples ever. All the statues over 1000 of them were sculpted by different local artists. They are all so unique and fun to look at.

Most of the pictures on my phone from here are from Kade.

WE also went to Arashiyama which is the bamboo forest but to be honest it wasn't all that exciting.
This is our guide for the day Hoko. She was great and so helpful

After a long day of walking we found McDonalds for food. Kade was so happy. I love the little things that make him happy.

Kade chose to hit up one more temple before we called it a night and I'm glad we did. It had a great light show and everything was all light up. It was funny because Kade was pretty dead and then he got dinner and got a second wind and was totally being goofy.

The reflection on the pond was gorgeous

We only had 2 full days in Kyoto which wasn't enough but it was fun and we fit in a lot. We caught our train back the next day.

We then got our flight and headed back to Okinawa. It was so fun to have a trip with just Kade and I.
