Sunglasses

This kid makes me laugh so much.  He found these sunglasses and well now they are his favorite.  He loved putting them on even if they were broken.

Not sure what kind of face this is but it is too funny not to share.  Doesn't he just look so cute in these.  And yes he knows he is adorable.

Update on our house we are still waiting to close.  We hope to close by the end of this coming week.  Things are still going great Jesse has gone back to work so that leaves Kade and I to bum around Mike and Jill's house.

Kade is 1!

I can't believe that my boy is 1.  I know I'm a little late on this post but we have been busy over here at the Johnson's and we didn't have internet.  I would post more pictures but the internet is super slow.  We have moved in with the Johnson's and it has been great.  The first week we were here we took all the carpet out and redid their hardwood floors.  It was a lot of work we did their huge living room, 2 bedrooms and the master room.  It looks amazing now!.  Then my mom and grandma were here to celebrate Kade's birthday with us.  We had it in the Johnson's beautiful backyard and it was warm and sunny.  Kade got a ton of presents and loves them all.  Chloe and I made him a birthday grown and put "fancies" on it.  I made him an a cake and Jill drew the elephant on it and then I decorated it.  We work well as a team.  Kade loves his stuffed animal elephant and Megan said I should make him an elephant cake and so I did.  Thanks Megan for the idea. More pictures to come once we get faster internet.  Mom and grandma were here for 4 days and we played the whole time they were here.  Yesterday the movers brought the Johnson's stuff and I was incharge of the telling the movers where everything goes.  Oh i forgot to mention that the Johnson's left for 3 weeks so we get to house sit.  So now all their stuff is here and I am unpacking some stuff for them.  Hope they can find it later =)
We are loving Washington it is so pretty and there are so many fun places to go and explore.  I can't wait until we can get into our house and get things settled so we can really go explore.  We are so grateful for the Johnson's and them letting us stay at their house.

Few fun things about Kade, he has 8 teeth now, he loves stuffed animals, books, cars, being outside, swimming,  playing with his friends, and sleeping.  Yes I know I am lucky.  He crawls everywhere and has taken one or two steps by himself but that's about it.  He holds onto anything and will walk around.  He likes to help push the shopping cart in the store until he sees something that he likes and then crawls over to it.  He is super happy and easy going unless he is hungry and tired.  We sure are lucky to have such an easy going baby.

A trip to Olympic National Park

The weather was beautiful so we headed out for an adventure to Olympic National Park.  We didn't have a specific location  to go to we figured we would drive around until we found something.  We stopped and hiked a trail called The Ranger Hole. It was a short trail but super pretty and it ended at a river.

The water was crystal clear.

Do you think they look alike?  Even their expressions are the same.

There was even a little waterfall.

Kade wanted to get down and walk around

He learned to say uh-oh

Happy Dad, Happy Baby

I thought these were pretty`

This is the trail we hiked everything was so green it was so pretty

Last Stop Coeur d'Alene

We spent our last 2 days of our travels in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  It was wonderful the weather was beautiful and we were able to go on a few hikes.

Melanie here is another yellow flower for you.  Whenever I see yellow flowers they make me think of you.

We hiked around Tubb's Hill which was nice and easy and right downtown by the water.

Jesse and Kade making grumpy Megan faces.

Isn't he cute

I guess their heads were to heavy so they both needed to rest them.

We surprised Megan with a sweet Easter basket.  We bought some chocolate and filled the ice bucket with chocolates and her bathroom bag.  It was fabulous.

Kade with his chocolate easter bunny from grandma Paula

He just makes me laugh

Megan hiking up Mineral Ridge.  My dad's friend who used to live in Coeur d'Alene told us about a few places to hike. Thanks Steve.

The lake and surrounding areas are gorgeous.

It is so nice to be able to hike in the mountains we love being back out west!

Group picture after our hike.

Oh yeah we even hid a couple eggs for Megan and she found both of them.  Thank you continental breakfast for having hard boiled eggs.
Our trip was so much better than I could have ever imagined.  Kade is an amazing traveler and a big thanks to Megan for driving with us and bringing her ipod.  We listened to 2 books and started a 3rd.  I have found that driving while listening to a book on tape makes the trip fly by.  Now onto fun adventures around our new home and there are lots!
