North Carolina Battleship

When Jesse was here we decided to take a trip out to the beach to have some fun. We had gone to the Airborne Museum here in Fayetteville and its a really good museum. We couldn't think of much to do and it was really cold outside so we decided to go check out the North Carolina Battleship. That turned out to be great even though it was raining. If we had gone in the summer I'm sure it would have been really hot and crowded. It wasn't that crowded when we went to it was great.

Here are the bunks they sleep in. I can't imagine having to sleep in one of these especially since there are 4 beds to one bunk.
Here is Jesse checking out the inside of the ship. This is where they launch the missles. I have to say I never realized how cool battleships are but man I would never want to live on one. They are so small.
After we toured the battleship we went to the aquarium. It was small but lots of fun. There were some of the biggest fish I have ever seen. I really like the picture below of the Jellyfish.

One of the Coolest Wedding Gifts

So we got one of the coolest gifts for my bridal shower. Thanks to Devanie and Sam they gave us a marble slab that you put in the freezer and then you put ice cream on the stone with lots of toppings whatever you want and mix it in. Just like Coldstone. Well Jesse has become really good at making ice cream. He has gone out and bought lots of toppings, sent him to the store and he came home with 3 big bags of MnM's.
Last week when Jesse was home we had people come over for dinner and we of course had ice cream after every dinner. Everyone loves it and its become a new little tradition when we have people come over. Thank you Dev and Sam for the great gift. Here is how we start. Jesse is good at mixin everything together.

And here is the outcome and its soooo good. Come visit us and you will get some ice cream gaurenteed.

Valentine's Cookies

So I made them! For all of you who thought I wouldn't make cut out cookies I proved you wrong. I invited Brielle the girl I lived with this summer over to help me because it is so much more fun with little kids. She chose the colors so I think it looks more like spring but they were good. Here are some picturesIsn't she so cute!

It was a little messy but a lot of fun. Now we will have to make Easter cookies.

Shelves in our kitchen

Our kitchen is kind of small and lacking counter space and cupboards so Jesse made a cool table for the kitchen. (you can see it in the picture). He made that before I came and it is great especially for the kitchen aide. We received so many wonderful wedding presents that we were having a hard time finding a place to put everything so Jesse decided to make a shelf that we could hang our pans off of. Here is a picture of the shelves and the table
We are super happy with the outcome of the shelf. Now we have a cupboard to fill up...yeah. He also made some shelves to put in the front closet so we can kind of have a pantry. It turned out super good too i just forgot to take a picture so I will have to add it later. Its so fun having woodworking tools!
