Dinner in a pumpkin

2 Sundays ago I made dinner in a pumpkin. It tasted pretty good if you like pumpkin. I remember my roommate Emily making it last year and I wanted to be festive this fall so I made the dinner and Jesse made pumpkin cheesecake which turned out okay, not the best but still good. It was fun having a creative dinner we aren't home much for dinner so I guess any dinner where we eat at the dinner table is nice. It was also fun to have friends over. So here are some pictures of the dinner:

No recipe? I like pumpkin. :) Very cute table decor!! Cliff's schedule changes in December so we will be able to have people over again for dinner. I guess I could have them over now but it's more fun when he is there too. Are you getting some great pics of the trees turning colors?

Since I work late during the week i couldn't do it on Halloween Melanie and Emily didn't make it on Halloween last year either. =) Okay here is how emily told me to make it and then I just got on line and looked at other recipes.
She said brown round turkey with some onions and whatever other seasoning.
A couple cups of rice (cook it)
Cream of Mushroom or chicken or what you like or have
I added corn, she added water chesnuts.
you can pretty much add whatever you want.
Then you mix it all together and put it in the pumpkin and cook it for about 2 hours. cooking time depends on the size of your pumpkin just cook it until the pumpkin is soft

Your pumpkin looks really pretty still after baking and I also like your Halloween decorations. I am gonna make the "pumpkin dinner" but I am going to use ground turkey and try to add lots of veggies. We will see how it turns out.
What are you going to be for Halloween this year?
Oh, and Karl is wearing the orange cape you made for his costume during a cyclocross race he is doing Saturday morning. Should be fun.
Oh, and I hope Em calls us to play in all of her leaves. That reminds me I should go call her.

glad it turned out good! I love that you do recipes like me... cook some meat, add some flavoring, cook in pumpkin, yum!

Hope it was a tasty pumpkin. I've heard of some great pumpkiny deserts that I want to try if I get around to it.
