On our way home we drove through this town called Fuquay-Varina and they were having a celebration for their town being 100 years old. (that is really not that old for a town). We decided to stop..why not we didn't have anything else going on. We walked around and looked that the street vendors and then bought a snowcone. It was nice and fun to see the town.
The first project is an old table. This was my grandparents first piece of furniture; their kitchen table. Here is what it looked like before:
And here it is after lots of sanding and spray paint
Project 2 - Our pond
After not being able to find our fish for the past week we decided it was time to clean out the pond. We drained it, scrubbed it and filled it back up with water. Now it looks so pretty that I might actually enjoy having a pond. We will see how long it stays this nice. My plants that I planted next to it are also taking off. They are getting really big and make the pond so pretty.
After cleaning the pond we put the fish back in the water and a couple hours later we found this:
Here is a flower from my garden. I think its pretty!
And here is a picture of my garden. My tomatoes are getting bigger and so is the zuchinni =) The second picture is a picture of my cucumber plant which is growing like crazy but still not a single cucumber....I guess I just have to be patient.

Fish Killer:) How fun to have your grandparents table. You did a great job on it! Your garden looks great too!
Everything looks beautiful! I agree, it is awesome to have your grandparents first piece of furniture! You did an awesome job on it.
Wow, I'm way impressed. Ur becoming a regular domestic godess.
We'll just call u Godess Jamie :-)
yah, fish don't do well in chlorinated water, so next time either wait 12-24 hrs before putting the fish back in, or get some chlorine drops to put in.
Your garden is way ahead of mine. i'm so jealouse! Good job on it. Looks like you have a lot of blossoms on your cucumber so you might have a polination problem, and will need to start polinating them yourself. Good luck!
ps that town has a really wierd name.
I love the garden. Did I tell you Karl planted cukes, tomatoes and melons in front of our house? To our surprise, they are doing really well. So far.
When do we finally get to talk on the phone? Frustrating.
To which temple are you assigned?
