Ice skating, sunflowers, whale watching, parks

Have you ever tried to take 3 kids ice skating by yourself? Umm yeah its kind of hard. 2 kids wasn't a problem just that third kid trying to hang on. Kade was great as long as he had something to hold onto.

Aisnley turned 4 so her frozen party was at the ice skating rink. It was nice to have a few more adults to help out.

Kade doing great pushing Jack

It was a great idea to have the cars on little sleds so kids can be happy. But they were kind of pricey to rent.

The Park's family with a handful of kids

I find it ironic the one day that we planned an activity inside was the only nice day outside. I was just planning on going home after ice skating but the boys asked to go to the pickle park (well thats what we call it) so we went there and enjoyed the sunshine.

Kade spent the majority of his time playing in the Metro playground. He is still so into things that move it cracks me up.

This really is a great park and Jack is getting so brave and climbs on everything and goes down the slides by himself.

Beautiful orchids growing wild on the trees

The parks also joined us at the park.

On Sunday Jack was coughing and so was Seth so we didn't go to church and headed out to the sunflower fields. Locals just have little plots of land that they plant sunflowers on. It was so pretty and the boys and I decided when we have our farm one day we are going to have a sunflower field.

This one was our favorite. Its hard not to smile

A nice lady offered to take our picture

and a family selfie

this was our other favorite.

After school park time because when the sun was out we go play. Soon it will be too hot to be outside.

Jack flies down this slide, and then goes over and over again.

For family home evening one monday we met up with the Moss family and went to Murasaki Mura to see the Chinese lanterns. They were pretty and the boys had fun running around

these are all paper lanterns

While Jesse was gone i decided i was going to finish 2 quilt tops and I did! This is a scrap quilt and its so fun i love it. Even though it was a lot of work. I started or should I say Kathy started cutting squares when we were still in WA. then slowly i've been cutting more and now that all my sewing stuff is downstairs it was fun and easy to finish.

The boys and I ran errands after school one day and walked by a bakery so we stopped in and got some treats.  They were all tasty.

We also tried these which are called takoyaki. Its got octopus in them. They were okay not our favorite.

Preschool has been lots of fun and it has improved my relationship with Seth which is even better. We learned about the letter G and gardens.

We planted some basil. It smells so good

Then we made grass seed caterpillars and another water bottle grass experiment. They all great and it was exciting to see the kids reaction when the caterpillar started growing hair. We also stuck green onions in water and it was amazing how fast they rooted and grew.

Jack loves food. I made bread and we had whip cream and strawberries on top and it was great.

Everyone approved.

Oh Jack you are such a stud

This picture sums up Ephram he is such a goofy kid always smiling and so sweet.

We went to another indoor playground called Xystus and played for 3 hours. We met up with a couple other friends as well and had a great time.

Jack and his friend Will

Here is Jack's quilt completely done. I love how it turned out and am thankful for Joan the lady who quilted it for me. He better love this blanket =)

This is too blurry but oh well. It was Lorna's birthday so we went and got pedicures and had a fun girls time. I love her she is the best neighbor and so much fun.

Preschool letter H we took a field trip to the zoo. They have this awesome helicopter to play in.

And 3 hippos to sit in. These 3 are so funny.

Jack is another animal lover. Oh man he thought these chicks were great. and the lady next to him thought Jack was pretty great.

petting the big puffy bunny. This was such a calm bunny.

WE also went to the honey store on our way home because Lorna taught them about honey and bees. So we went and experienced it first hand.

We got to try different types of honey

Then we ate ice cream that was made with honey. It was so good.

One monday not to long ago Kade had the day off so we decided to plan a park day. This park was awesome

We spent 5 hours playing. The kids spent a ton of time in the middle of that green thing playing and hiding.

Jack has no fear of being high and is getting really good at climbing through and on things.

There he is again scooting backwards down that tube to get to the slide.

The kids ended up playing with these Japanese kids for awhile running around playing tag.

They can barely communicate but that doesn't stop them from playing

How many can fit on this slide...yea a ton

I wasn't planning on going whale watching but then a friend asked if I wanted to go so we said sure then she wasn't able to go so we invited another friend and after it getting cancelled twice we finally were able to go.

Poor Seth got sea sick

He never threw up but fell asleep instead.

The whales were totally showing off for us

There were beautiful and amazing

And here is the disappearing 9 patch christmas quilt i made. Ashley and I both made one and I think it turned out pretty fun.  Now it will be all ready for Christmas next year.
