Part One of Okuma

I have felt very blessed this summer to have met some great ladies. Ones that push me to be better and love to have fun. One day Stephanie messaged me saying she booked a room for a few nights up at Okuma. Okuma is a military "resort" we will use resort lightly but it has cabins and hotel rooms right on the beach. So i called and booked us a room as did a few other friends. Oh man we had tons of fun. Kade went up with Stephanie since Seth had swim lessons and gymnastics. They got to check out a waterfall on their way up.

Stephanie is a runner and is making me one too. I am actually really enjoying it. I can't believe I just said that. We went out for an early morning run and saw the sunrise. this was a failed attempt at me trying to jump. I totally slipped. Oh and Marinui is in the picture with me.
The sunrise was beautiful.

We ran 3.5 miles

Don't i look great

We cooled down in the ocean

one afternoon everyone rented kayaks and paddle boards and we paddled around to another little beach.

Seth and Easton playing in the water. they couldn't get enough of this spicket

quiet time watching Frozen

This was the beach right out in front of our hotel room.

First dinner was a hot dog roast with friends who were staying in the cabins. Each of us just took one meal and it was so relaxing.

There were 21 kids and 5 moms!

found this monster crab on our ride around the grounds

Stephanie's room came with a golf cart so we had fun driving it around.

This kid is so silly

How many can you fit on a golf cart. Eva in the back and Marinui in the front with me

Kade ready to go kayaking and snorkeling.

One day we let the kids play on the banana boat. Kade loved it.

Oh this kid is so hot and cold.

Me, Kristy, Eva and Stephanie. Just missing Marinui

We forgot to use the whip cream for the pancakes that morning so it turned into an afternoon snack

Easton and Jack are buddies

Early morning swim on our last day.

Fun jumping off the dock

We had lunch at a soba place near okuma

A picture from Cape Hedo the northern most point on the island

We then drove to Aha falls and the kids played on the rope swing and jumped off the rocks

On our way home we stopped at this park

So much fun it made me think of ninja warrior

and it had all sorts of crazy paintings.

From the park we watched the sunset. It was so pretty.

Jack on his way up the stairs so then he could go down and break his arm!! See that slide its not even fancy or anything special but thats the one he broke his arm on.

So in July and August baby turtles start to hatch from their nests and we found out about it and went and watched. the first two times we didn't see anything but I think it was the 3rd time we say 5 hatch. It was awesome. On the way back from Okuma it was evening time by the time we were headed home so we stopped by to check on the turtles and saw one hatch. The Japanese are so nice and let the boys pick them up and put them into a container where they leave them fro 24 hours to build up strength. We also had the chance to release other ones. It is so cool to watch this little guys.

One of the turtles slowly coming out of its hole
They work so hard to get out of all that sand.

Seth getting to hold a turtle and put it into the water
We had a super fun weekend and the boys were tired. Don't look at how awesome they had their seat belts on....oops.
This guy has ended up in my bed quite a bit recently he uses the bathroom and then climbs into bed with me.
The Parks Family has been so nice to us and fed us a few Sunday's while Jesse was gone. Kade loves to wrestle with Jon and in this picture he is being baby Kade who is being fed a bottle....haha oh Ellen and Kade are so cute.
A little bit of time in the pool in the yard, a nice slow afternoon. We sure do love our neighbors.
