While my dad was here we planted my garden.  I wouldn't have gotten it done without him and we took a couple of trips to the nusery and home depot too.  We got horse manure from the stables behind our house to add it to our soil.  I hope it works.  Next step in the yard is to seed it and put a boarder around the garden...that will happen one day but for now Jesse and Kade are working hard on the deck...pictures to come soon.
We got about 30 strawberry shoots from a lady in our ward.  They already have strawberries on them so I'm super exicted.

Pumpkins on the left and cucumbers on the right.  Both pumpkin plants have sprouted and are doing really good.

More strawberries along the house.

The rest of the garden.  I planted a cantelope just because I had the seeds and thought why not.  Then a yellow bell pepper, 4 tomato plants, peas, and green beans.  Hopefully they will do good here along the house and get the warmth that they need to grow.

This cute boy hung out in the yard with us and even fell asleep

He's got the best smile and now laughs a lot

While watering we found a massive web with thousands of baby spiders.....I'm not kidding.  My dad went and sprayed spider spray on them after we removed these and he said they just kept falling.  So glad we got rid of them.

And how can I have a post without this guy.  We have been making lots of smoothies and he loves them!

Northwest Trek

For Kade's birthday the grandparents all pitched in and got Kade a pass to the Zoo and the Northwest Trek.  My dad and I took the boys to the Northwest trek to celebrate his birthday.  The weather was perfect and the trek was empty.  I mean we were at every exhibit by ourselves.  It was awesome and Kade loved it.  We got to ride the tram around and see the bison, moose, long horned sheep, elk and a few other animals.  It was so much fun.  Happy Birthday Kade!

Grandpa and Kade looking out at the tram.

Kade happy to be on the tram to see the animals

This is how Seth and I spent our time.

Long horn sheep.

Kade loved the owls.  He also loves to sign Owl and make owl sounds.

Look at me I'm 2

Being silly

Eating a birthday ice cream sandwich

Obviously the sandwhich wasn't what he wanted because the hijaked my drumstick and licked all the ice cream.  I at least wanted the cone but nope when he was done with the ice cream he took it to the trash and threw it away.  I was so sad.  At least I got his sandwich.

mmmm so good

My super happy baby.  Seth is always smiling and for the most part really happy.

Had to put this picture of my dad up because its a good one.
Now come on up and visit because we can take 3 guests with us each time we go!

Yesterday we celebrated Kade's 2nd Birthday with a small friend party.  It was so much fun and we are so grateful for our friends.  The weather was about 75, we were all hiding in the shade because we aren't used to the sun...sad but true.  I think Kade had a great time and loved all his presents.  Well his friends know him so well give a boy cars, trains and bubbles and he is one happy camper. I still can't believe he is 2 oh and we are entering the wonderful two's at full force!
Birthday boy ready for his party.  I made the banner from scrapbook paper and my cricut.  I decided he needed a fun shirt to wear.  Kade picked out the monster truck fabric at the store. And the crown is from last year.

Grandpa and Seth at the park

The weather was beyond beautiful and we rode bikes down to our neighborhood park where the kids all played.

The party was so exciting Embree fell asleep. Okay not really she was asleep when they arrived.

We spent about 45 minutes at the park and then headed back to the house to eat dinner.  We had pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs with fruit salad and chips.  I kept it simple.

Then it was present time and Kade got some Thomas the Train pj's.  He loves them and was so excited.  He also got a Thomas lawn chair and some bath toys.

He got a cool car that Rex really wanted to play with.

Not sure about this face and his hand...so funny

Jill made him this cool vandaler/ sash thingy to carry this toys.  I'll have to get a picture of him wearing it sometime

It also came with a purple car that he wouldn't put down.  My mom sent him a Cal Poly hat, its so cute.

Ken and Pam (our adopted neighbors from up front) gave Kade a trike.  He was so excited today when Jesse put it together.
He did really good blowing out the candles.  He was so excited it was so cute

I made a dirt cake with gummy worms and used his tractors and dump truck that Hailey gave him for christmas.

Everyone enjoying their cake.  I loved it because it was so easy to make and I didn't have to frost anything.

Its so funny Chloe and Rex LOVE Jesse and Kade LOVES Mike.

Watch out Rex is gonna get you.  I put squirt guns in their party favors and it was a big hit.
Last Friday I took prom pictures for the girls across the street and their friends.  It was a lot of fun and reminded me of my senior prom.
Today after church we headed to the park.  Kade loves dandelions and as you can see wanted to share with Seth.  Poor seth had those little seed things all over his face. I wanted a cute picture of me and the boys but that didn't happen thanks to Kade being grumpy and not looking at the camera.  At least we got some cute family pics.  Thanks dad!

2 months old

I can hardly believe this little guy is 2 months old and I have to say he is so cute.  At his 2 month appointment he weighed in at 12 lbs and is 22inches long.  He is smiling a lot now and coos all the time.  And last night he slept all night!! As in 9-6!!! He has been a great sleeper at night and I'm so grateful for that.  The mornings he doesn't like to sleep much but he always takes great afternoon naps.  He also will take a bottle which is great because that means I can leave and not be worried about him like last night when i got a massage!  Life is busy thats for sure.
Seth was so happy this morning I jumped up opened the window and grabbed the camera

His hair is so long, the top is finally laying flatter but not much.  This kid has some awesome hair and no I'm not putting curlers in it.

He is doing so good at holding his head up
