Happy Birthday Jesse

Jesse is now 26!!

I made him a cake yesterday morning at 7:30am. Yikes that's really early to make a cake but I did it. I had a bit of a hard time with the frosting but it tastes good. Since it was about 10pm when we ate the cake there was no party. Maybe we will do something fun this weekend...or relaxing sounds nice too.Happy Birthday Jes. I Love YOU!

I heart faces first entry

I have found a new blog called iheartfaces.blogspot.com. Its pretty cool because they have different challenges each week. Since this is my first entry I'm using a picture I took of Noah last year at Halloween time. The theme for this week is Nastalgia and I feel that this picture fits becsause I loved Halloween as a kid and I loved making a huge pile of leaves and playing in them during the fall. It was nice last year not to have those prickly balls in the pile like we did as a kid.

I need a name for.....

I'm still just playing around with the idea but I realize I need a name and can't think of anything creative so I decided to ask my friends and see what they think. I wish my old roommates lived closer so I can practice taking more pics and getting a portfolio going but you are all too far away. Too bad I don't have an abundance of money to travel anytime I want but that is wishful thinking. So if you are reading this blog and I do live near me I would love to take some pictures so I can get more practice. Please help me come up with a creative name...creativity and words are just not my thing. Thank you all in advance!

Keeping Busy But At Home

Yesterday we had our swim party and it was fun, we ate cake and cupcakes and swam. As you can see the kids had a lot of fun.Things have been busy around here the last couple of weeks. We have actually stayed home for the past 2 weekends and its been GREAT! Here are some plants I planted in the front yard yesterday.So my garden has been doing okay, not really how I want it but thats okay. I get a few sporadic tomatoes and some beans. Then my potato died so I dug it up and found these 3 very very small potatoes. I don't even know what to do with them but they sure make me laugh. I guess next year I should plant my potato earlier and then water it. This is a coat rack/shelf Jesse made while Hailey and I were in DC. Its right by the front door and I really like it. Now i just have to put something on the top of it
While Hailey was here we picked blueberries and then made some jam.
So here is a picture of Jesse and Hailey. This was the only picture I got of the two of them and it was 5am. :)

The Barney Mobile Has Been Injured

Yesterday I parked the Fit at a friends house because we went up to Raleigh and went thrift store shopping. Well about half way through the day we get a phone call from Christine's husband telling us that the Fit has been hit. Good thing Jesse was around because he went over and took care of it while we continued to shop. A man backed out of his driveway right into the Fit. Now we are waiting on insurance to see what will happen. Here are some pics:
We are still wondering why this couldn't have happened to the truck. It is a good thing that we have 3 cars. One always seems to be down.

DC with Hailey

Friday Hailey and I drove to DC and Saturday we were tourists in our nations capitol. Here are some things we did:This is what Hailey did when we got back to the hotel room. I gave her the book called 'Hunger Games' and she couldn't put it down. Well either could I.

Checking out the Washington Monument Walking the Mall. Hailey likes to wink in a lot of pics it was super funny. Maybe the sun was just too bright or she has a lazy eyeThis picture was really really hard to take and it still didn't turn out. Hailey can't keep her arms still it was so funny.
